Legal Experience
After graduation from law school in July 2001, Mrs. Petitt started her legal career in civil litigation and then moved to the Office of the Attorney General-Child Support Division in 2002 as an Assistant Attorney General. Mrs. Petitt started her own office in October 2004 in Beaumont, Texas and has grown steadily in the years since.
Mrs. Petitt has tried many cases before the Jefferson County Family Court judges as well as Hardin County and Orange County Judges. Mrs. Petitt has also participated in numerous mediations both privately and through the Jefferson County Dispute Resolution Center. and is also available to mediate cases. Mrs. Petitt has tried both simple and complex cases including complex property and custody matters.
